I personally use the Commando for my AV fits. I use a swarm or maybe a a plasma cannon in conjunction with any kind of racial rifle. I could kill infantry easily and still be able to distract that tank from camping the objective :P

As a dedicated Logi, placing down equipment is actually quite a hard job. For example, if you are playing Ambush and a Logi makes the mistake of placing down an uplink, then the team only has that uplink to spawn on, unless someone fitting uplinks...

I made an alt to see how fast you can get decent AV. If you don't invest anything but the skills required to get the Swarm Launcher you can actually get ADV AV in less than 10 matches, depending on your skill level or play style.

No, the AR does not dominate any frontline weapon. The Scrambler Rifle coupled with the Flaylock or a SMG would totally rock shields and armor. Variety is the spice of life.
